UP PCS 2026 notification announces 500 posts as UPPSC extends online application deadline to August 3

UP PCS 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has extended the last date to apply online for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) (General/Special Recruitment) Examination-2026 to August 3. The recruitment drive is being conducted for 500 vacancies, and the online application process began on June 25, 2026, following the release of the official notification.Candidates seeking to apply must complete the One Time Registration (O.T.R.) process before submitting the application form. Applications are being accepted online through the commission’s official portal. The recruitment notification has been issued under Advertisement No. A-1/E-1/2026.Important dates for applicantsThe notification was released on June 25, 2026, and online registration commenced on the same day. The last date for payment of the examination fee and submission of the online application has been extended to August 3. Candidates will be able to make corrections or modifications to submitted applications and complete fee reconciliation until August 10.Eligibility, vacancies and application feeThe recruitment offers 500 vacancies under the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination-2026. Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognised institution. The prescribed age limit is 21 to 40 years as on July 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable according to the provisions mentioned in the official notification.The total application fee is Rs 125 for candidates belonging to the UR, OBC and EWS categories. SC and ST candidates are required to pay Rs 65, while ex-servicemen must also pay Rs 65. Persons with Disabilities are required to pay only the online processing fee of Rs 25.Selection process and application procedureThe selection process comprises a Preliminary Examination, Main written examination, interview, document verification and medical examination.To complete the application process, candidates must first finish the One Time Registration and obtain the O.T.R. number. They are then required to authenticate their details on the commission’s website, complete the online application form, pay the prescribed examination fee through the approved online payment modes and submit the application. Candidates are advised to retain a printed copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
