Canada’s apparel imports fall 6.9%, exports also down in Jan-May

India’s shipments fell * per cent to $***.*** million, with its share unchanged at *.** per cent.By product, trousers and shorts dominated Canada’s apparel imports at $*.*** billion, accounting for **.** per cent of the total. Jerseys followed with $***.*** million, T-shirts with $***.*** million, shirts with $***.*** million and coats with $***.*** million, as per TexPro.

Canada’s apparel exports declined *.* per cent year on year to $***.*** million during January-May ****. The US remained the largest destination with shipments of $***.*** million, but exports fell **.* per cent and its share dropped sharply to **.** per cent from **.** per cent.
